AMES, Iowa - The Baylor offense struggled, hitting just .117 for the match, and fell to Iowa State, 3-0 (26-30, 27-30, 25-30) Saturday night at Hilton Coliseum, ending the Bears' school-record 10-match winning streak and their 10-match winning streak on the Cyclones' home floor.
Senior middle blocker Desiree Guilliard-Young (Berkeley, Calif.) hit .400 and led the Bears (12-2, 1-1 Big 12) with 12 kills and five blocks, while senior outside hitter Nicole LeBlanc (Tampa, Fla.) had 10 kills and six digs. Senior outside hitter Deja Sweeney (Sacramento, Calif.), freshman setter Taylor Barnes (Arlington, Texas) and junior libero Kristen Schramek (San Antonio, Texas) each had seven digs.
Erin Boeve led Iowa State (9-2, 1-0) with 17 kills and nine blocks, while Katie Jessen had 11 kills. Katie Churm and Kaylee Manns led the Cyclones with 10 digs each.
Iowa State hit .248 and had a season-high 16 blocks by a Baylor opponent. The Cyclones outdug the Bears, 42-26.
