THE SEMIFINALS
With a 64-55 win over Wichita State in the opening round of the Paradise Jam Friday, Baylor advanced to a semifinal matchup vs. Notre Dame Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. CST/9:30 p.m. AST and will be televised live on Fox College Sports and on FSN Southwest within the state of Texas. The Bears (2-0) face a Notre Dame (2-0) squad that crushed Monmouth 76-33 Friday night. The semifinal game is Baylor's second-ever meeting against the Fighting Irish on the hardcourt, the first since a 98-57 loss to No. 3 Notre Dame on Nov. 30, 1977 in South Bend. The winner of Sunday game will advance to the Paradise Jam championship game to be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. CST/9:30 p.m. AST and face the winner of Georgia Tech and Winthrop. The losers will play a consolation game scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. CST/7 p.m. AST. Both the championship and consolation game Monday will be televised live on Fox College Sports.
