Men's Tennis Program Ranks No. 1

WACO, Texas - The Baylor men's tennis team is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation according to the ITA/FILA computer rankings over the last five years. The Bears have an average ranking of 3.6. Baylor has finished in the top four for four straight years.
The Bears, ranked at the No. 4 spot, are currently 15-2 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Bears have won nine straight matches and remain undefeated at home.
Baylor has claimed the Big 12 regular season title for five consecutive years and won four of the last five Big 12 post-season titles. The Bears also captured the 2004 NCAA national championship.
Baylor has four players ranked in the latest FILA/ITA Collegiate Rankings including Lars Poerschke, tied at the No. 13 spot, No. 16 Michal Kokta, No. 93 Dominik Mueller and No. 124 Matija Zgaga. In doubles, Zgaga and David Galic earned honors at the No. 18 spot.
