SCOUTING THE JAYHAWKS
• Kansas is led by 12th-year head coach Ray Bechard, who has compiled a 174-160 record in his 11 seasons at the helm of the Jayhawks, including three NCAA tournament appearances.
• Setter Nicole Tate controls the offense, ranking third in the Big 12 in assists with 11.01 per set. Her main weapons are outside hitter Allison Mayfield, who is fifth in the conference with 3.65 kills/set, and Garlington, who is ranked sixth in the Big 12 with 3.39 kills/set.
• On defense for the Jayhawks, libero Melissa Manda leads the back row with 3.95 digs/set. Manda is one of five Jayhawks that average over 2.00 digs per set.
• Middle blocker Tayler Tolefree leads the team at the net, averaging 0.93 blocks per set, while Paige Mazour is averaging 0.76 b/s.
LAST TIME AGAINST KANSAS
Senior Anna Breyfogle chalked up 12 kills and five blocks as Baylor hit an efficient .289 on offense on its way to a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-22, 25-17) of Big 12 rival Kansas at the Ferrell Center. The win was the third Big 12 victory in a row for the Bears, and marked the best start in school history with 14 wins in the first 15 matches.
The Baylor attack played efficiently all day, hitting at least .269 in each set and making no more than six errors in any set. With Breyfogle's 12, Katie Sanders had eight, Elizabeth Graham had seven, and Taylor Barnes and Torri Campbell each totaled five kills to make up the bulk of Baylor's 43 in the match. Barnes also had 34 assists, five digs and two blocks to show her versatility.
On defense, the Bears played a solid back row with 43 digs, and kept KU hitters off-balance at the net with 10 blocks. Libero Allison King kept her streak of now 12 consecutive matches with at least 10 digs, recording 16, while Caitlyn Trice added 11. Six Baylor players had a least two blocks in the game with Breyfogle (5), Torri Campbell (3) and Katie Sanders (3) each getting at least three.

Setter Taylor Barnes broke BU's all-time assists record, leading Baylor to a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-15, 25-14) over visiting Colorado on Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center.
Barnes, who entered the night 19 assists shy of Dana Chuha's career record on 4,955, recorded 20 on the night to break the record by one. She also had nine digs, six blocks and four kills in the match to lead the Bears. Junior Ashlie Christenson fueled the Bear attack with 13 kills and just one error on 22 swings for a .545 clip.
The defense was the other story on the night as Anna Breyfogle led a Bear block party, racking up 11 block assists, her second highest total of the season, and the second highest three-set total in school history. The Bears had 14.0 blocks as a team with Barnes' six, four from Christenson and three more from Briana Tolbert. In the back row, Allison King totaled 19 digs to lead all players, while Katie Sanders added nine.
