Shaw Takes Seventh in 10K

LUBBOCK, Texas - Katie Shaw finished in seventh place in the 10,000 meters on the first day of competition at the 2009 Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the Bob and Linda Fuller Track.
Shaw earned her first-career All-Big 12 honor with a 37:03.20. The Lady Bears earn all-conference honors for the second-straight year, as Lyndsy Bedell also finished seventh in 2008 in Boulder, Colo.
Jeff Sadler finished 18th overall in the men's 10,000 meters with a time of 33:16.55.
Freshman Eric Bostick sits in 13th place in the men's decathlon after five events with 3,278 points. The decathlon concludes on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m.
Baylor returns to action on Saturday with the second day of competition at the 2009 Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Live results can be found online at www.TexasTech.com.
