Pinckard stole his 13th and 14th bases of the season; he has been successful on 22 of his last 23 attempted steals ... Pinckard also became the first Baylor player to steal second and third in the same inning since Chase Gerdes did so on March 6, 2007 ... Texas Tech's Chad Bettis was ejected in the sixth inning for hitting Glime in the back with the first pitch after Muncy's home run, and starting pitcher Jay Johnson was also thrown out for arguing from the dugout after he had been lifted ... Baylor is now 70-72 in the all-time series with Texas Tech, including a 23-45 mark in games played in Lubbock and a 23-31 record during the Steve Smith era.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Senior captain Gregg Glime had a career day to lead Baylor to its first series win at Dan Law Field since 1998, as the Bears pounded Texas Tech 12-5 Sunday afternoon.

Glime went 2-for-4 with a grand slam that gave the Bears the lead for good, five RBI and two runs scored, and he also picked off a runner and threw out Texas Tech's only attempted base stealer.

Baylor (27-21, 9-13 Big 12) took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning when Glime and Josh Ludy knocked back-to-back RBI singles, but the Red Raiders (27-24, 13-11 Big 12) answered with three runs in the bottom of the third.

Scott LeJeune knocked a RBI single, and Nick Popescu hit a two-out, two-run double to turn Baylor's lead into a deficit, but Craig Fritsch settled down and got a strikeout to escape the inning, and then worked a scoreless fourth.

Brooks Pinckard got the fifth inning started with a bunt single, and then he became the first Baylor player to steal second and third base in the same inning since Chase Gerdes in 2007. Two outs later, Raynor Campbell and Max Muncy drew walks to load the bases and end Jay Johnson's day.

Glime stepped up to the plate with three on, two outs and the Bears trailing 3-2. He quickly turned that deficit into a lead when he drilled Chad Bettis' 2-0 offering well beyond the right-field wall for his fifth homer of the season, giving Baylor a 6-3 lead.

After allowing three runs in 4.0 innings, Fritsch handed the ball to Josh Turley to start the fifth. Turley retired the side in order in his first inning, and the Bears broke the game open in the top of the sixth.

Bettis seemed to be cruising along after two strikeouts to start the inning, but the next eight Baylor batters all reached base safely. Campbell drove in a run with the Bears' third straight single, and Muncy crushed Bettis' first pitch for a three-run homer.

It was Muncy's 11th homer of the season, and with his 14th multi-RBI game, he broke Matt Williams' record of 13 in 1998 for the most ever by a Baylor freshman.

Bettis then hit Glime in the back with the first pitch after Muncy's home run, prompting his ejection by the home plate umpire. He allowed six runs on seven hits in 1.0 inning of relief, and he allowed all three inherited runners to score.

Turley (4-0) picked up the win for Baylor by allowing two runs in 3.2 innings of relief, and Johnson (3-4) took the loss after giving up five runs on five hits with six walks in 4.2 innings. Willie Kempf closed out the win with 1.1 innings of shutout relief.

Muncy finished 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks, three RBI and a career-best four runs scored. Cal Towey went 3-for-5 and scored twice, and Ludy had his first career four-hit game and drove in two runs.

Baylor got eight hits, six runs and 10 RBI from Muncy, Glime and Ludy, its six through eight hitters in the lineup.

The Bears return home for the final four games of the regular season. Baylor takes on Dallas Baptist at Baylor Ballpark on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., and then the Bears close out Big 12 play with a three-game series against Oklahoma State.
