WACO, Texas - The Baylor soccer team (13-2-2) extended its unbeaten streak to eight games with a 5-0 win over Jackson State (4-7-1) on Senior Day, Sunday afternoon at Betty Lou Mays Field. Baylor is 7-0-1 in its last eight matches and 8-0-1 at home this season.

"It wasn't pretty but we got everyone in the game for some experience," head coach Marci Jobson said. "Senior Day is always tough because there are so many emotions and you never know how they are going to react. I was proud to see us step it up a bit in the second half."

Baylor picked up five goals from five different players, as Christine Clark, Dana Larsen, Lisa Sliwinski, Caitlin Fennegan and Michelle Hagen each notched a score. Karlee Summey, Hannah Dismuke, Alex Klein and Larissa Campos each registered an assist.

Clark finally got the Bears on the board in the 34th minute with a rebound off a shot from Karlee Summey that ricocheted off a JSU defender to the feet of Clark, who one-time it in the back of the net.

Despite a 16-1 shot advantage, BU held just a 1-0 lead at the half.

Larsen doubled the lead in the 58th minute with a header back across the goal off a cross from Dismuke. Larsen's ninth goal of the season is the most by a BU player since Megan Sherrell had nine in 2007.

Sliwinski put the Bears up 3-0 with a blast from 15 yards out in the 60th minute for her fifth goal of the year.

Baylor continued to pour it on when Fennegan one-touched a cross from Klein and put in the left-footed shot from 18 yards out for her first career goal.

The final goal of the day came from Hagen, as the Bears earned a free kick just left of the goal box. Campos struck the ball in the middle of the box and Hagen made a run across the middle for the one-touch finish, her second of the year.

Baylor outshot Jackson State 31-1 on the day, a new season high.

Baylor will play host to its final two regular season games of the year, beginning with No. 2 Oklahoma State (15-0-1, 4-0-1) Friday at Betty Lou Mays Field at 7:00 p.m.
