WACO, Texas - The Baylor soccer team (14-3-2, 5-2-1) used a pair of second half goals to propel itself past Oklahoma (6-12, 1-6) 3-1 Sunday evening at Betty Lou Mays Field. The victory wraps up the regular season and gives the Bears their most regular season wins since 1998 (15) and most Big 12 triumphs since 2000 (6).

"This was a big win for our team," head coach Marci Jobson said. "We weren't as crisp at the beginning of the game, but we made some good adjustments at halftime and executed."

Lisa Sliwinski, who has six goals in her last six games, notched two on the evening while Dana Larsen added her team-leading 10th goal of the year. Her 10 scores are the most by a BU €ˆplayer since Molly Cameron tallied 11 in 2000. Hannah Dismuke registered a pair of assists, taking her total to seven, the most since Megan Sherrell's seven in 2007.

Oklahoma struck first when Amy Petrikin found herself one-on-one with Courtney Seelhorst, slotting one away to the far post for a 1-0 lead.

The Bears answered right back one minute later when Justine Hovden was fouled in the box, earning a penalty kick. Sliwinski calmly blasted her first career PK goal it to the upper right to tie the match at one.

Despite an 8-2 shot advantage, Baylor and Oklahoma were tied at the break.

Baylor found its offensive stride in the second half, as Larsen buried a header in the 58th minute off a corner from Dismuke for the 2-1 lead.

The Bears, who are 10-1-1 at home this year, put the game away in the 82nd minute on their second set-piece goal of the night. Dismuke took a free kick from just in front of the halfway line and found Sliwinski, who headed it over the top of Kelsey Devonshire for the 3-1 lead.

BU outshot the Sooners 13-6, including an 8-2 advantage on goal.

"This team has accomplished a lot and I am proud of them," Jobson said. "We have to continue to get better and focus one game at a time because that is all we are promised from here out."

Baylor will be the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Championship and will await its opponent after the conference finishes regular season play next weekend. Its opening round match will be on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blossom Soccer Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.
