WACO - In a match filled with long rallies and runs, Baylor (17-10, 4-8) came up short, falling 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25) to Oklahoma (19-8, 8-4) Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center.

"We didn't serve well at all which doesn't put any pressure on them," head coach Jim Barnes said. "Our passing started to falter, and that can't happen because we could have won this match if we just did what we are supposed to."

Zoe Adom (13) and Thea Munch-Soegaard (13) led an offense that saw four players record double-digit kills on the night. Adom has now hit for double digits in seven-consecutive matches, while Munch-Soegaard picked up her first double-digit performance since Sept. 8 vs. Hampton. Adri Nora added 12 kills and a .360 hitting percentage, while Alyssa Dibbern had 10 kills on the night.

Hope Ogden came up with 20 digs, her second-highest total of the season, while Munch-Soegaard added 14 and Kate Harris collected 12. Harris' 50 assists along with 12 digs gave her her 14th double-double of the year, while Munch-Soegaard recorded her fourth.

Despite outhitting the Sooners in the final three sets, Baylor managed just a .190 hitting percentage to OU's .210. The Bears did have the edge in blocks, 11.5-9, led by Nora's eight.

Baylor held a 17-12 lead in the opening set, only to see it slip away on a 6-1 run from Oklahoma. Tied at 20, OU closed the game with five of the next six points for the 25-21 win.

The Bears trailed for much of the second set before earning a 23-22 lead. After an OU attacking error, the Sooners called timeout, but Dibbern put the set away with a kill for the 25-23 win, evening the match.

Oklahoma came out of the break and jumped out to a 19-9 lead, seemingly putting the set out of reach. But following a service error, the Bears reeled off 10-straight points off the serve of Harris for an 11-0 run and 20-19 lead. The Sooners would quickly answer with a 4-0 run, but back-to-back kills from Adom and Dibbern cut the BU deficit to just one, 23-22. OU's Morgan Reynolds collected two of the sets final three points to close it out, deflating the BU comeback.

Baylor held an early 8-4 lead in set four, only to see Oklahoma come back with a 8-1 run to take a lead it would never fully relinquish. The Bears found themselves down 19-14 but came roaring back to tie the set at 22. A Torri Campbell kill pulled BU to within 23-24 but Reynolds ended the match with a kill of her own for the 25-23.

Baylor will hit the road for two-straight matches, beginning with West Virginia at Noon CT on Sat., Nov. 10 in Morgantown.
