NAPA, Calif. - For a second-straight day, Baylor men's tennis junior Julian Lenz tallied a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the Napa Valley 50k Challenger on Sunday.
Playing at the Napa Country Club, Lenz bested Daniel Garza of Mexico to advance to the third round of the qualifying singles draw.
Lenz, ranked No. 1 in singles in the ITA, is competing at the Napa Valley 50k Challenger, a USTA Men's Professional Pro Circuit Challenger Series Event. Garza is currently ranked No. 518 on the ATP Tour.
Meanwhile in Houston at the Rice Fall Invitational, Tony Lupieri fell in the semifinal round of the singles draw 3-6, 7-6 (6), 11-9 to Tomas Stillman of UT San Antonio. Despite the loss, the BU senior went 3-1 in the opening tournament of the season.

Lenz will be back in action at the Napa Valley Challenger on Monday as he faces Mico Santiago of the United States.
