Baylor volleyball (14-7, 2-5 Big 12) jumped out to an early advantage, but couldn't finish off the road upset over TCU, falling in five sets, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 21-25, 10-15, Wednesday evening at the University Recreation Center.

The Bears were rolling early, jumping out to grab a first set lead that they would never lose, taking the first game, 25-18.

The Horned Frogs responded in kind in the second frame, opening on a 5-0 run and never losing the lead to take the second set, 25-20.

After trading points for much of the third game, the Bears pulled away late, plowing ahead for a 25-22 set victory and a 2-1 advantage in the match.

TCU started clicking in for the final two sets, hitting .607 and .316 in the fourth and fifth sets to clinch the match victory in front of a raucous crowd.

Despite the result, BU outhit TCU .342 to .340 in the match, carrying advantages in kills by a 70-64 margin.

BU's higher rate of blocking, service, and handling errors proved to be the main separation between the two squads, as well as a 15.5-9.5 block advantage for TCU.
