Men's Tennis Ends Regional Championship Run

The Baylor men's tennis team ended its run on the second day of the UTSA/ITA Regional Championships Sunday.

Freshman Jimmy Bendeck dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Rice's Jacob Hansen in the round of 32 to finish the tournament with a 1-1 record. He previously took a 6-1, 6-2 win over Incarnate Word's Ryan Hoverson in the opening round Saturday.

Redshirt freshman Will Little lost a tight 6-4, 7-6(4) match to Texas Tech's Tommy Mylnikor to end singles tournament play for the Bears. Before the loss, Little defeated Koby Jansen of UT Rio Grande Valley, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the round of 32.

The 12th-seed duo of Little and Bendeck also suffered a 8-5 loss to Texas A&M's Sam Giammalva and Frankie Colunga in the doubles round of 32. The duo is now 1-2 in the fall season.
