SKILLMAN, N.J. - For the eighth consecutive season, the Baylor men's tennis team earned ITA All-Academic team recognition, while players Julian Lenz, Felipe Rios and Mate Zsiga were honored as ITA Scholar Athletes, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Thursday.

Baylor was one of only two top-10 teams, Oklahoma was the other, to make the ITA All-Academic team list.

To be recognized, the Bears had to have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above.

Individually, Lenz, Rios and Zsiga all received their first Scholar-Athlete designation by maintaining a 3.50 GPA for the recently completed academic year.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must also be a varsity letter winner, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.

As announced earlier this month, Zsiga was won of 35 Baylor athletes to have a 4.0 GPA for the spring semester. As a whole, the men's team placed four representatives on the Baylor Dean's List and all 11 of its players on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
