
WBB's Kristy Wallace and U19 Team Defeat Mali

CHEKHOV, Russia - Baylor sophomore Kristy Wallace and her Australian Gems teammates defeated Mali, 91-23, in its round of 16 game in the FIBA Under 19 Women's World Championships on Wednesday, July 22.
The Gems are now 4-0 in tournament play and advanced to quarterfinal action (Friday, July 24) where they will face China.
Despite playing less than 15 minutes in the lopsided victory, Wallace, a 5-11 guard, tallied seven points, added a game-high seven assists while hauling down five rebounds and contributing a steal. Australia led 58-20 at the half and limited Mali to just three points in the second half, holding them to 15.8% shooting for the game.
