
WBB's Kristy Wallace Leads Australian U19 Team

CHEKHOV, Russia - The Australian Gems' U19 team, suffered their first loss of the FIBA Under 19 Women's World Championships on Saturday, when Russia claimed a 76-57 semifinal victory. The Gems will play in the bronze medal game against the loser of the USA vs. Spain semifinal on Sunday, July 26. The game will tip off on Sunday at 10 a.m. (CDT). Baylor sophomore guard Kristy Wallace and her Gem teammates are now 5-1 in tournament play.
Wallace led the Gems in both scoring and rebounding against the more experienced Russian team. She tallied 15 points and eight rebounds.
