Fourth-year Bear tops off career in All-Star weekend
PHOENIX – Baylor's Bella Fontleroy has been picked as one of 20 players for the Lilly Women's All-Star Game and Combine at Grand Canyon's Global Credit Union Arena on April 3 and 4 as part of the Final Four festivities in Phoenix, joining the already announced Darianna Littlepage-Buggs.
The All-Star Combine will begin at 2 p.m. CT on April 3 and will stream live for free on YouTube.
The following day, the All-Star Game will tip off at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 with full game rosters and team assignments to be announced soon by Intersport, placing the Bear on either Team Lieberman, coached by Nancy Lieberman, or Team Miller, coached by Cheryl Miller.
Joining Lieberman and Miller on the sidelines will be a group of accomplished coaches and basketball standouts. Alicia Berber, WNBA All-Star Marina Mabrey and Hall of Famer Ann Meyers Drysdale will serve as assistant coaches for Team Miller, while Stacey Lovelace and WNBA champion and Finals MVP Kahleah Copper will serve as assistant coaches for Team Lieberman.
Fontleroy's career ended with the fourth-most made 3-pointers in program history, trailing Sarah Andrews, Odyssey Sims and Jennifer King.
The Missouri native was named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive year in 2026 and earned honorable mention honors in both seasons. She also excelled in the classroom, earning Academic All-Big 12 First Team recognition in 2024 and 2025 after being named to the Academic Rookie Team in 2023.
Fontleroy scored in double figures 11 times this season, adding double-digit rebounding against Houston for her lone double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Dubbed the "head of the defensive snake," she forced 50 steals and recorded 43 blocks on the season.
Last April, dozens of college basketball's top senior standouts including Baylor's Aaronette Vonleh converged in Tampa for the Women's College All-Star Game and inaugural Women's College All-Star Combine. Four All-Americans, six WNBA draft picks, five WNBA free agent signees and more than 18 all-conference honorees competed in front of a sold-out crowd.
Intersport launched the inaugural Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Challenge in 1998, which the WBCA operated through 2006. The Chicago-based agency was also a long-standing partner with the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and ESPN to stage the Women's Tip-Off Classic that annually featured the sport's top programs in high-profile matchups as part of ESPN's early season programming. Today, Intersport continues to operate major men's and women's college basketball events throughout the season including the CBS Sports Classic, the Elevance Health Women's Fort Myers Tip-Off, the Arizona Tip-Off and other major showcase events.
