WACO, Texas -- Baylor women's golf head coach Jay Goble announced the addition of two student-athletes to his 2017 recruiting class on Thursday.

Baylor has signed Diane Baillieux a National Letter of Intent, and Jordan Shackelford has been admitted to Baylor and will join the team as a preferred walk-on. Both will enroll in fall 2017 and will have four years of eligibility.

Diane Baillieux

Baillieux is from Dongelberg, Belgium, and is currently ranked No. 185 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and No. 2 among players from Belgium. She finished ninth at the 2016 European Ladies Amateur Championship (64-69-75-75) and third at the 2016 Belgian International Amateur (73-71-68-71). She also was the top amateur and finished in third place at the 2016 Terre Blanche Ladies Open (76-67-70) and finished second among amateurs and fourth overall at the 2016 CitizenGuard LETAS Trophy (73-74-73).

"Diane brings a wealth of international experience to our team and is currently one of the best players in Europe under the age of 21," Goble said. "Her list of golf accomplishments is beyond impressive, and without a doubt she will be one of the best players in college golf someday. Both (assistant coach) Ryan Ashburn and I have watched her play in some very big events in the last few years, and she's done very well. We're already looking forward to her arrival to campus to see how well she will play for the Bears."

Shackelford attends Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. She's a four-year varsity letterwinner and a four-time academic all-district honoree, and her Westlake team finished second at the 2016 Texas 6A State Championship. Shackelford is a two-time All-District 14-6A honoree and was named to the 2015 All-Region third team. She recorded third-place finishes at the 2015 Brackenridge Park Jr. Championship, the 2015 Cottonwood Creek Championship and the 2016 Greyrock Junior Championship.

Jordan Shackelford

"We are very happy to have Jordan join the Baylor family next year," Goble said. "Jordan is from Austin, Texas, and is a member of the Westlake golf team where she is one of the best players on a very good golf team. She brings a wonderful, enthusiastic attitude to her golf, and I know that she will bring great team chemistry and a solid work ethic to our team."

Baylor has completed its 2016 fall season and begins the spring portion of its schedule on Feb. 14 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic at Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, P.R. Follow @BaylorWGolf on Twitter for updates throughout the season.
