WACO, Texas ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" A trio of Baylor basketball players were named to the 2016 Associated Press All-Big 12 teams, as chosen by a panel of media representatives who cover the conference on a regular basis and announced Monday by the AP.
Taurean Prince and Rico Gathers were named All-Big 12 Second Team, and Lester Medford earned honorable mention. The Bears have now had 17 media All-Big 12 honorees in the last seven seasons, with three first-team honorees, nine second-team selections and five honorable mentions since 2010.
Combined with Johnathan Motley's All-Big 12 Third-Team selection on Sunday, the Bears have had four different players earn all-conference honors this season, tying the most in program history. Baylor also had four all-conference players in 2012 with Quincy Acy, Pierre Jackson, Perry Jones III and Quincy Miller. BU has gone nine straight seasons with at least three players earning All-Big 12 accolades.
There were 11 players named to the AP's two All-Big 12 teams ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" a tie in voting extended the second team to six players. Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma and West Virginia had two players apiece, and Texas had one player chosen. There were six honorable mention choices.

Second-team honorees were Prince, Gathers, Kansas' Frank Mason, West Virginia's Jaysean Paige and Devin Williams and Oklahoma's Ryan Spangler. The six players to earn honorable mention were Medford, OU's Isaiah Cousins and Jordan Woodard, KU's Devonte' Graham and Wayne Selden and Texas Tech's Aaron Ross.

He leads the Bears with 479 points, ranks second with 185 rebounds and 40 steals and third with 68 assists and 22 blocks.

He ranked second in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.9), tied for fourth in steals (1.7) and 10th in minutes (32.4).
