FIVE REASONS TO FILL THE FERRELL
1. MAKING HISTORY: In a series that covers 45 matches and goes all the way back to 1985, this is the first-ever Top 25 matchup between #24 Baylor (16-4, 6-1) and 11th-ranked Kansas (16-3, 5-1). Baylor's last Top 25 win in Waco was on Sept. 23, 2009, when the 24th-ranked Bears swept No. 11 Iowa State in three sets. If you'll notice, that's the exact same rankings for Wednesday's match. Hmmm.

2. DIG PINK NIGHT: Players will be wearing pink uniforms to honor anyone who has or is currently battling cancer.

3. ICE CREAM AND POP SOCKETS: The first 200 Baylor students will receive free ice cream from Heritage Creamery. Additionally, the first 500 fans will receive a free BU cell phone pop socket; and fans can receive a discounted $3 ticket when they show the ticket office they follow the volleyball team on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (@Baylorvball).

4. SETTING THE STAGE: This is a matchup of arguably the league's top two setters. Kansas senior Ainise Havili has been named the Big 12 Setter of the Year the last two seasons and was a first-team All-American in 2015, when the Jayhawks made their first Final Four appearance. Baylor's Hannah Lockin has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week twice already and leads the league in assists in conference-only matches with 12.5 per set.

5. TEN IN A ROW: Not only is Baylor coach Ryan McGuyre looking for his first win over Kansas (BU haven't beaten the Jayhawks since 2012), this would be the Bears' 10th straight win at home, a program record. They were close against Kansas last year, taking a set off the Jayhawks on the road in Lawrence and then falling in five sets at home.
