- Baylor and Central Arkansas met for the first time -- BU is 47-13 vs. current Southland Conference teams.
- Baylor has won 12 straight season openers and Scott Drew is 14-1 in openers.
- Baylor has won 44 straight non-conference home games -- the nation's second longest streak (Duke, 132).
- Baylor is one of 12 teams to be nationally ranked in each of the last 10 seasons entering 2017-18.
- Drew is in his 15th season and is Baylor's all-time wins leader (278) -- he is 278-180 at BU and 298-191 overall in 16 seasons as a head coach.
- Baylor's 153 wins since 2011-12 are second most in the Big 12 behind only Kansas (179).

- Manu Lecomte made his third straight start and scored a team-high 22 points for his 47th career game in double figures.
- Lecomte tied a career high with six three-pointers made.
- Terry Maston scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds for his second career double-double. He has scored in double figures 19 times in his career and has two career double figure rebounding games.
- Nuni Omot scored a career-high 15 points for his second career game in double figures.
- Omot set a career high with nine assists.
- Tristan Clark made his Baylor debut and scored 15 points.
