Men’s Tennis Advances to Doubles Semifinals

Bears upset third-straight ranked opponent in quarterfinals Saturday

TULSA, Okla. – Baylor men's tennis doubles duo Jimmy Bendeck and Sven Lah booked a ticket to the main draw doubles semifinals on day seven of the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships Saturday at the Case Tennis Center.

Winning their sixth consecutive match and third straight over a ranked opponent, Bendeck and Lah upended No. 24 Johannes Ingildsen and Brian Berdusco (Florida), 6-4, 3-6, 1-0(10) for a spot in the semifinals.

The win clinches an automatic bid to the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which takes place November 7-11, in Surprise, Ariz.

In singles action, the Bears bowed out in the Round of 16. No. 115 Will Little dropped a 7-6(2), 6-0 loss to No. 58 Kyle Seelig (Ohio State) while No. 85 Lah fell 6-2, 6-1 to No. 38 Emily Reinberg of Georgia. Both players finished 2-1 in Tulsa.
