2016-17 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Earned first career ITA All-American honor in doubles with teammate Juan Benitez after advancing to the NCAA doubles quarterfinals… Went 17-12 in doubles play…With Benitez, posted an 8-5 record to earn first career All-Big 12 doubles honor…The duo was ranked in the top 25 from March 26 until the end of the season…Ranked as high as No. 13 on April 12…While unranked, had an upset win over No. 1 Filip Bergevi and Florian Lakat of Cal on March 18…Downed the fifth-ranked duo of Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe, 6-2, on April 9 to eventually help them move up from No. 29 to No. 13 in the National rankings…Recorded a signature win over No. 2 Johannes Inglidsen and Alfredo Perez, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 10-8 to advance to the NCAA doubles quarterfinals…Posted a 21-12 singles record as well…Went 15-8 in dual match play…Played it close with a 6-3, 7-5 win against Thibault Forget to help Baylor down No. 7 USC on March 19…Dominated Jochen Bertsch, 6-2, 6-2, in Baylor’s 4-3 win over No. 16 Oklahoma on April 7…Had a comeback victory in Baylor’s win over No. 45 Texas Tech on April 22 by beating Connor Curry, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4…In the fall, posted 5-2 singles record and 2-2 mark in doubles action...Won opening two singles matches at ITA Texas Regional in straight sets, before falling in round of 16 to Texas A&M's ninth-ranked Arthur Rinderknech...Produced 3-1 showing at Jack Kramer Invitational, losing to teammate Bjoern Petersen in semifinals...Partnered with Petersen in doubles winning one and losing one match at both fall tournaments...Was ranked No. 46 in preseason ITA doubles listings with partner Tyler Stayer...Earned spot on Baylor Dean's List in the spring...Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete Award to help team earn distinction for the 10th consecutive year...Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team...Named to fall and spring Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll list.
2015-16 (Redshirt Freshman):
Played primarily at No. 3 and No. 4 singles spots, going 14-10 before suffering a season-ending back injury...Won final singles match over Prairie View A&M's Anirudh Yadov on March 14...Played in final three matches at BNP Paribas Collegiate Tennis Challenge from March 18-20...Went 16-7 in doubles play, going 10-3 with partner Julian Lenz at the No. 1 spot...Earned two victories over ranked opponents, including an upset of second-ranked Hugo Dojas and Felipe Soares of Texas Tech at the ITA National Indoors Championship on Feb. 13...Posted best team singles record in fall season, finishing at 5-2...Won three straight singles matches, including a 6-3, 6-2 win over Princeton's Luke Gamble at Napa Valley Tennis Classic...Paired with Jimmy Bendeck in doubles play, posting a 2-3 record in three tournaments...Named to fall and spring Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll...Secured spot on Baylor Dean's List in spring...Earned Academic All-Big 12 first team distinction.
