Frantzen and Soto get victory over UCF Saturday in Austin
THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas – Baylor men's tennis' Constantin Frantzen and Matias Soto won the doubles draw on day two of the Longhorn Invitational Saturday at the Texas Tennis Center in Austin.
In the gold bracket, Frantzen and Soto had a walkover win over Texas' Rodrigo Banzer and Colin Markes in the semifinals. Then, the Baylor duo grabbed an 8-6 victory over UCF's Gabriel DeCamps and Trey Hilderbrand in the championship final.
The duo finishes 2-0 in doubles action this weekend.
In singles action, Soto was matched up against Texas' Banzer but the Bear earned the walkover. Frantzen closed out the day with a 6-4, 6-4 loss to Texas Tech's Ilgiz Valiev in the white bracket.
