Men’s Tennis Concludes Pre-Qualifying Draw in Tulsa

Frantzen advances to the round of 32 Sunday afternoon

TULSA, Okla. – Baylor men's tennis players Constantin Frantzen and Jimmy Bendeck closed out pre-qualifying play on day two of the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championship Sunday at the Case Tennis Center.

Frantzen took down USC's Tanner Smith, 6-3, 7-6(5), in the round of 64 before bowing out to Illinois' Noe Khlif, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 one win shy of making the qualifyind draw.

Bendeck bounced back in a consolation match against Southern Utah's Jake Williams with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. He is now 1-1 in singles action this fall.

The qualifying draw begins tomorrow with five Bears in action in the singles and doubles brackets.
