Bears look to make it six-straight wins over the Wildcats

WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's tennis team will look to snap a four-match losing skid on the road Friday when the Bears take on No. 11-ranked Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. at 5 p.m. at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center

Baylor will be facing its fourth Top 25 team in the last five matches as the Wildcats are just outside the top 10 with a 4-3 record. Northwestern has defeated two common opponents with Baylor – the Wildcats have taken wins over No. 22 UCF and No. 17 Miami. Like the Bears, Northwestern fell to Texas Feb. 8 as the No. 8-ranked Longhorns swept the Wildcats 4-0.

The Wildcats are coming off a 4-3 win over No. 18-ranked LSU at the ITA Indoor National Championship while Baylor is coming off a home loss to Washington State when the Cougars edge BU 4-3 Friday.

The Bears have five-straight wins over Northwestern, including a 5-2 win over the Wildcats in Waco last season on March 27.
