MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
  • Baylor and West Virginia met for the 17th time in the all-time series. BU is now 10-7 against WVU, including a 4-3 mark in Waco.
  • The teams have alternated wins in Waco (BU in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019; WVU in 2014, 2016, 2018).
  • Baylor has swept its 3rd season series of the year after previously sweeping Iowa State and Oklahoma.
  • Baylor is 98-74 in Big 12 play over the last 10 seasons after going 59-149 in the league's first 13 years.
  • Baylor is 280-135 since 2007-08, the first year Drew's staff had a full allotment of scholarships.
  • Baylor is now 3-7 when trailing at halftime this season.

TEAM NOTES
  • Baylor played without King McClure for the 5th consecutive game.
  • Baylor had two 20-point scorers for the first time since Jared Butler and King McClure posted 22 and 21 points against Prairie View A&M on Nov. 12, 2018.
  • Baylor had team season highs in free throws made (26) and free throw attempts (35).
  • Baylor improved to 9-4 since Tristan Clark's season-ending injury in the Jan. 8 game vs. Iowa State.
  • Baylor improved to 17-5 overall and 9-3 in Big 12 play when outrebounding its opponent.
  • BU extended the nation's 11th-longest active streak with at least one 3-point made in 896 straight games.
  • Baylor started Makai Mason, Jared Butler, Mario Kegler, Mark Vital and Freddie Gillespie for the 3rd time this season, and BU is 3-0 with that starting lineup.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Mario Kegler (career-high 23 points) scored in double figures for the 10th time this season.
  • Kegler went 6-of-7 from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range against the Mountaineers.
  • Kegler had career bests in free throws made (9) and free throw attempts (11).
  • Mark Vital (career-high 15 points, 14 rebounds) posted his 2nd career double-double and first since his 11-point, 11-rebound game against Nicholls State.
  • Vital (career-high 15 points) scored in double figures for the 7th time this season and first since posting 14 at Texas on Feb. 6.
  • Vital (14 rebounds) posted double-figure rebounds for the 6th time this season and 8th time in his career, and Baylor is 7-1 in those games.
  • Jared Butler (12 points) scored in double figures for the 13th time this season and 10th time in 13 games since joining the starting lineup.
  • Butler (1-of-4 from 3-point range) extended his streak to 13 straight games with a 3-pointer, including multiple 3-pointers made in 11 of 13 games.
  • Butler (4 assists) posted multiple assists for the 17th consecutive game after doing so in 1 of his first 10 games. He's had 5+ assists in 7 games this season, and Baylor is 6-1 in those games.
  • Devonte Bandoo (22 points) scored in double-figures for the 9th time this season and 4th time in the last 5 games.
  • Makai Mason (4 points) had his lowest scoring game this season. His previous low was at Texas (5 points).
