- Baylor finished 10-8 and in 4th place in the Big 12 standings after being picked 9th out of 10 teams in the Big 12 Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Baylor fell to 3-4 against AP Top 25 teams this season and 23-31 against ranked teams over the last 5 seasons.
- Baylor fell to 5-32 in the all-time series against Kansas, including 4-24 in the Drew era.
- Baylor is 99-77 in Big 12 play over the last 10 seasons after going 59-149 in the league's first 13 years.
- Baylor is 281-138 since 2007-08, the first year Drew's staff had a full allotment of scholarships.

- Butler became the first Baylor player to post 30+ points in a road game since Nuni Omot went for 30 at Kansas State in the regular-season finale on March 3 last season.
