Baylor Enters NCEA Championships as No. 3 Seed

WACO, Texas – Only a few days after capturing its fourth Big 12 title in program history, Baylor equestrian (9-4) will begin its run as the No. 3 seed at the NCEA National Championships, running April 17-20 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco.
The third-seeded Bears will face No. 6 seed Georgia in the team bracket quarterfinals on Thursday, April 18 at 8:35 a.m. CT. If Baylor advances, it would face the winner of No. 2 Texas A&M and No. 7 South Carolina in the semifinals.
In the event brackets, the Bears will open competition in two events on Wednesday, April 17. The 11th-seeded equitation over fences team will face off against Big 12 foe and No. 6 seed Oklahoma State at 8:35 a.m., then the 6-seed horsemanship team will compete against No. 11 South Dakota State at 2:15 p.m.
On Friday, April 19, the top-seeded reining squad will play the winner of No. 8 South Carolina and No. 9 TCU at 8:35 a.m. Then, the second-seeded equitation on the flat team will compete against the winner of No. 7 South Carolina and No. 10 Fresno State. Both teams received first-round byes on Wednesday and enter competition in the quarterfinals.
