Bears have 34 selections to academic teams following NCEA Championship

WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian had 34 selections to the NCEA Farnam All-Academic Teams and APHA Academic Honor Roll, announced Thursday by the organization.

BU had eight selections to the Farnam All-Academic First Team, led by NCEA All-Americans Rachael Davis, Madison Day and Grace Thiel. All-Big 12 selection Abbi Demel and three others were named to the second team while two other Bears earned honorable mention.

Twenty Bears were named to the APHA Academic Honor Roll.

Riders must have competed in at least 50 percent of meets and earn a GPA of 3.00 to earn a spot on the all-academic teams. The top academic student athletes who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters earned recognition on the academic honor roll.
