Gusters and Andrews receive nominations for prestigious summer games
WACO, Texas – Irving MacArthur high school standouts and Baylor women's basketball signees Hannah Gusters and Sarah Andrews earned nominations for the 2020 McDonald's All-American Games Tuesday.
This season's boys and girls games are hosted in Houston April 1 at the Toyota Center. It will mark the 19th annual girls game. The McDAAG is the only democratically selected prep all-star event in the country. The nation's top high school basketball coaches and media comprise the selection committee responsible for selecting the boys and girls rosters from a pool of more than 700 nominees.
Each year the games benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities and its network of local chapters. At RMHC, programs like the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room provide comfort and compassion to families with sick children so they are fully supported and able to be a part of their children's care.
Gusters and Andrews announced their national letters of intent to play for Baylor Nov. 13. The high school senior teammates hope to find out if their nominations lead to awards for the McDAAG in the coming weeks.
