COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Baylor women's tennis team continued its hot start to the 2020 fall season by taking seven out of 10 singles matches and three of five on the doubles court. The Bears kicked off day one of the Aggie Halloween Classic Friday with two days left of competition.
Baylor faced players from Texas A&M, Rice, and TCU on both the singles and doubles courts. Four matches went three sets in singles with the Bears taking three of those four, while
Alicia Herrero Linana and
Kristina Sorokolet each blanked their opponents, 6-0, 6-0.
Three doubles pairs won matches for Baylor, including
Anastasia Kharitonova &
Angelina Shakhraichuk, who have found their groove together and improved to 4-0 on the season with a 6-2 win over Rice's Diae El Jardi & Maria Budin.
The Bears improved to 33-18 on the season in singles (.647) and 16-13 in doubles (.552).
HIGHLIGHTS
• Four Baylor players have singles winning streaks of at least three matches.
Jessica Hinojosa won her third-straight match while
Livia Kraus and
Kristina Sorokolet each improved their streak to four matches.

Audrey Boch-Collins, the freshman from Las Vegas, improved to 5-0 on the season with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Anna Bowtell of Rice.
