STORY LINES
• Baylor heads south to Houston for a doubleheader against the Cougars on Tuesday. After playing two in Houston, the Lady Bears will fly to the state of Florida for the second time this season. This time, Baylor will be in Gainesville to take on the Gators.
• This stretch marks five-straight road contests for the Lady Bears after they played 12-straight games at home in the month of February.
• Baylor has only played one true road game this season, a 3-2 win over No. 21 Arkansas in Fayetteville.
• Baylor is 19-14 overall vs. the Cougars. Houston, however, has won each of the last three meetings.
• Baylor is third in the Big 12 heading into the weekend with a .307 batting average. The Lady Bears have struck out the second-fewest times amongst league foes and are also second in doubles with 33.
• Baylor is second in the conference with a 1.93 ERA.
• Maddison Kettler now has a hit in eight-straight games. That streak is a career best for the redshirt junior. During that time, she's hitting .625.
• Kettler has eight multi-hit games this season to give her 34 in her career.
• During her eight-game hitting streak, Kettler has multiple hits in five games, including each of the last four contests. In BU's last four games, she's hitting .692.
• Gia Rodoni has 528 career strikeouts. That mark is good for sixth all-time. She's the first to hit the 500 mark since Heather Stearns finished her career with 738 from 2013-16. Whitney Canion is the all-time strikeout leader with 1,473.
• Rodoni leads the league with 86 strikeouts this season.
• Kyla Walker now has 68 multi-hit games in her career. That puts her third in Baylor history (Jessie Scroggins – 86, Naomi Fitzgerald – 69).
• Walker is seventh in the Big 12 with 16 runs scored so far this season.
• Baylor has three different players in the top 10 in the league in hits: Kettler (4th, 24), Walker and Lou Gilbert (T7, 23).
• Goose McGlaun is third in the Big 12 with six doubles.
• Baylor has two pitchers in the top seven in the Big 12 in ERA: Rodoni (2nd 1.27) and Aliyah Pritchett (7, 1.91).
• Baylor has recorded seven double plays this season. Only two been the conventional 6-4-3 as three have come from the outfield: 8-3 double play against Auburn, a 7-6-5-2 double play against Louisville and a 9-6-2-1 double play against Missouri State.

• Baylor will play five opponents ranked in the preseason Coaches Top 10 and four opponents in the preseason Coaches Top 25. In all, the Lady Bears play 12 games against Top 10 foes and eight games against Top 25 foes.
• Of the 20 games against teams ranked the preseason Coaches Top 25, only six of them are at home (3 vs. No. 3 Oklahoma, 1 vs. No. 8 Minnesota, 2 vs. No. 6 Texas). Three are neutral-site games (2 vs. No. 9 Florida State, 1 vs. No. 23 Auburn), and the remaining 10 are true road games (1 at No. 6 Texas, 3 at No. 7 Florida, 3 at No. 13 Oklahoma State, 3 at No. 18 Texas Tech, 1 at No. 24 Arkansas).
• Baylor will play 10 games against four programs that advanced to the 2019 Women's College World Series - Oklahoma, Florida, Minnesota and Oklahoma State).
• BU was picked fifth in the Big 12 preseason coaches poll behind Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
• Baylor's 14-game winning streak tied the longest in program history. It marked the 14th double-digit win streak by the Lady Bears and the third streak of 14 (2011, 2014, 2020). Neither of those two streaks, however, included wins over ranked teams. The 2020 streak included three wins over ranked teams (No. 15 Minnesota, No. 21 Arkansas, No. 8 Florida State).

• Baylor is 7-5 vs. Florida with the last contest coming in Fullerton, Calif. with the Gators winning, 4-0.
• Two of Baylor's contests vs. Florida came in the 2017 Women's College World Series. The two teams advanced to the WCWS together in 2011, 2014 and 2017. They only faced each other in OKC in 2017.
