Volleyball Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Baylor volleyball was one of 227 NCAA Division I recipients of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, announced by the organization on Monday.
This is Baylor's eighth team academic award in 10 seasons.
The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
All nine Big 12 schools with volleyball earned the Team Academic Award in 2019-20.
Represented by divisions spanning from the highest level of the NCAA Division I down to the high school ranks, the organization set an all-time high with 1,313 teams being honored across all divisions.
