TOP QUOTES
Interim head coach Michael Woodson
On returning to Hurd for the first time since 2019…
"It was fantastic to be back playing at Hurd. It was a beautiful day for tennis and I was excited to be playing outdoors. Trinity made it tough on us and tested our ability to focus and be professional from start to finish. I thought overall our guys did that and I was really pleased with what we got out of the day."
On getting reps ahead of a long remainder of the season…
"It's really important to get the schedule right – to give our guys enough opportunities to play and develop without wearing them out. I think it was nice to come back here, play multiple matches without having to travel, play at home and sleep in our own beds, and build up a little bit before we head to North Carolina."
Sixth-year senior Ryan Dickerson
On collecting four wins today…
"It felt good to get outside, I hadn't played a dual match outside in my Baylor career yet. I think a lot of us played really well. We all came in with really good focus. I felt like that intensity and stinginess is why our team can be really good. We really locked it down from the start of the day until the end."
WHAT'S NEXT
The Bears (13-2) will host UT Arlington (1-1) on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Hurd Tennis Center with first serve scheduled for 4 p.m. CT.
