Bears take five-game winning streak to Sooner State for two conference matches
WACO, Texas – Fifth-ranked Baylor men's tennis continues its road stretch at Oklahoma State and Oklahoma this week for the start of Big 12 Conference play.
The Bears (21-3) stop in Stillwater to face No. 18 OSU (7-6) for a 5 p.m. matchup on Thursday before heading to Norman for a battle with the No. 20 Sooners (8-9) at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
BU defeated OU, 4-1, earlier this season, but the Bears have not yet faced the Cowboys in 2021.
Baylor leads the all-time series against OSU 29-11, but trails against the Sooners 23-26.
Last time out, the Bears defeated No. 48 SMU in Dallas 6-1, sweeping all six singles matches after dropping the doubles point.
Baylor now holds a combined 105-17 record this spring in singles play and a 46-19 mark in doubles. The Bears have taken the doubles point in 18 of their 24 matches and are 17-1 when doing so.
In the most recent ITA/Oracle rankings, BU's Matias Soto checks in at No. 9 while Adrian Boitan earned the No. 62 spot in singles, with Constantin Frantzen/Sven Lah placing at No. 22 and Charlie Broom/Sven Lah coming in at No. 78 in doubles.
