Track and Field Looks to Rod McCravy Memorial Meet

Nugent and Brackins return to the track after record-setting performances.
WACO, Texas – The Baylor track & field team is headed to the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, which will be held Friday and Saturday at the University of Kentucky's Nutter Field House in Lexington.
On the men's side, top-25 ranked Matthew Moorer, Trey Fields and Johnny Brackins are ready for competition, with Moorer eager to win his third-straight gold in the 200-meters.
Brackins and Nugent were announced Big 12 Athletes of the Week on Wednesday. Nugent looks to top her most recent 60-meter hurdle 7.9-second personal-best, which is good for No. 2 in the nation. Brackins is ready to defend his recent victories in triple and long jump, in only his second and third collegiate competitions, respectively.
The meet results will be available online, and Saturday's competition will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.

"I am looking forward to this meet," said head coach Michael Ford. "We haven't been up here since 2016, so it's good to get back in SEC country to see where we stack up."
Baylor enters the meet for the first time after the initial round of USTFCCCA rankings were announced, with the women's squad at No. 15, and the men just outside the top-25 in No. 30."The team looks ready to go," said Ford. "We had a good shakeout to get familiar with the track and they seem locked in and ready."
The Bears bring in top-25 athletes Tuesdi Tidwell, Ackera Nugent, Kennedy Bailey, Alex Madlock and Caira Pettway on the women's side.
