Bears face Sooners on Wednesday night in Norman
WACO, Texas – The No. 13-ranked Baylor volleyball team finishes a two-match road streak in Oklahoma on Wednesday, with match time starting at 6 p.m. against Oklahoma in McCasland Fieldhouse.
The Bears (17-4, 6-2 Big 12 Conference) are starting the second half of the league slate against the Sooners (11-9, 1-7 Big 12), having seen each member once already this season.
The home contest against OU was a five-set bout, with BU coming away with the 3-2 win in early October. Baylor has now won 13-straight matches against the Sooners, all coming under head coach Ryan McGuyre.
The Bears are on a two-match winning streak after winning in four sets over Texas Tech at home and against K-State in Manhattan. Baylor freshman setter Averi Carlson earned her third Big 12 Rookie of the Week accolade as she has recorded three-straight double doubles, starting with the home match against Texas on Oct. 15.
Oklahoma is on a five-match losing streak, most recently falling to TCU in Fort Worth, 3-1. The Sooners are 6-3 when playing at home this season. The last home match they hosted was against Kansas State on Oct. 19, falling 3-2 to the Wildcats.
