BU signs seven to 2023 volleyball roster
WACO, Texas – Head coach Ryan McGuyre of the Baylor volleyball team announced his 2023 signing class, revealed Thursday.
Seven student-athletes have committed to join the Bears' squad for the 2023 season.
Manuela Bibinbe | MB | 6'3" | Yaounde, Cameroon | Missouri State West Plains
A transfer from Missouri State West Plains … She was the Region 16 Player of the Year and a First Team All-American in 2021 … At MSUWP, she helped the Grizzlies to be Region 16 champions in both the Fall and Spring of 2021 with the Grizzlies finishing third in the Rankings for the Fall season … Graduated high school from Lycee d'Etoug-Ebe in Cameroon.
McGuyre on Bibinbe: "Manuela will be bringing an aggressive arm and beautiful smile to Baylor volleyball. She is a tall, strong and physical athlete with a determined heart and strong work ethic. I am confident Manuela will make an immediate impact on the court and in the locker room. She has a tender and caring heart with a competitive spirit. Played club for Skyline Juniors Dallas under Ryan Mitchell … She and her team were 2021 District Champions … She was the East Texas Freshman of the Year, a member of the All-State Team, District Freshman of the Year and two-time District MVP ... Earned first place at the Willis Point Tournament then second place in another year, also placing third at the Wimberly Tournament ... Also lettered in track for Rains HS, running in five Gold Medal meets for the Wildcats as well as being an area qualifier ... Member of the National Honors Society, Student Council and FCA ... Mother (Sarah Sivertson Kreck), aunt (Cory Sivertson Williams) and cousin (Callie Williams) played volleyball at Baylor and uncle Jason Williams was an assistant coach while aunt (Krista Sivertson Sheldon) also played and coached collegiate volleyball.

Plays club for Rio Volleyball Club … In 2019, she was AVCA All-Region Second Team and her high school squad made the sweet 16 … In the 2020 season, she was AVCA All-Region Second Team and her high school team made the final four while being County and Region champions … In 2021, she and her North Gwinnett team went to the elite eight and were Region champions … A 2022 AVCA High School All-Region selection as well as AVCA High School First Team All-America selection, while her HS squad were Region champions and advanced to the final four and she was named Gwinnett County Super 6 as well as Region Player of the Year … Related to Ralph Garr, former professional baseball player, scout, coach and National League All-Star.

In the 2021 season, she and her varsity team were MCAL Champions and NCS Champions under coach Jake Spain ... Her senior season in 2022 she was the team captain and the MVP of the Durango Tournament; Stockton Classic Champions and 2nd place in the MCAL under coach Jane Seslar ...
