
Track & Field to Compete in Lubbock and Nashville

Bears split meets to wrap up indoor regular season
WACO, Texas – Baylor track and field is set to compete in both the Texas Tech Shootout in Lubbock and the Indoor Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tenn., this Friday and Saturday.
Aaliyah Miller, Ellie Friesen, Ryan Day and Ryan Hodge, alongside distance coach David Barnett, make the trip to Vanderbilt, while the rest of the squad heads to Lubbock for any last tune-ups before the conference meet in two weeks.
The Red Raiders are set to host Angelo State, BYU, Eastern New Mexico, Incarnate Word, Lubbock Christian, New Mexico Junior College, Northern Colorado, North Texas, Northwestern State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Prairie View A&M, SMU, South Plains College, Tarleton, Texas A&M Commerce, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas State, UNLV, UT Arlington, Wayland, Western Texas and West Texas A&M in this weekend's Texas Tech Shootout.
The Bears currently sit with nine student-athletes ranked in the national top-25 lists in their respective events, as well as both men's and women's 4x400 relay teams.
Ackera Nugent returns to the 60-meter hurdles with the No. 4 time in the nation, set in Iowa City three weeks ago. Tuesdi Tidwell, No. 10, aims to record her sixth career gold medal in pole vault at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock.
Matthew Moorer looks to repeat gold in the 200-meters for the second time this season at Texas Tech, while freshman Johnny Brackins is set to compete in the long and triple jump, ranked No. 10 in the long jump with 25-8.
The action in Nashville will be streamed on SEC Network+ with a meet schedule and results to be found online.

This is the last regular-season meet for the Bears before they head to Ames, Iowa, for the indoor Big 12 Championship on February 25-26.
