SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Baylor's NaLyssa Smith earned a spot as a Top 10 candidate for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Coaches Association 2022 Katrina McClain Award, announced Thursday.

Smith is 10th all-time in Baylor history with 1,756 career points. She is also nearing 1,000 career rebounds with 952 currently. Smith is fourth in the BU record books with 43 career double-doubles.
Recently, Smith has been named to the Late Season Top 20 for the Wooden Award as well as the Midseason Team for the Naismith Trophy.
This season marks the fifth-straight for a Baylor player to be a finalist for the McClain Award.
In March, the committee will declare five finalists, and the winner will be announced on a date to be determined with the other four members of the Naismith/WBCA Starting Five awards.
