ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 6 Baylor men's tennis heads northbound to Ann Arbor, facing No. 12 Michigan in a matinee matchup on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. CT at the Varsity Tennis Center.

The Bears (17-1) look to improve upon their 7-1 record over ranked opponents this season when they face the top-15 ranked Wolverines (9-2).

BU leads the all-time series with U-M at 3-1, most recently facing the Maize and Blue in 2021 with a sweep in late January.

Michigan is coming off an upset sweep of No. 2 Ohio State, 4-0, on Friday. U-M took the doubles point with victories on the No. 2 and 3 courts. An ace on the deuce point on court one clinched the match for the Wolverines thanks to Ondrej Styler, downing No. 8 Cannon Kingsley. Michigan is 6-0 at home this season thus far.

Baylor is now 12-0 when winning the doubles point and 5-1 when not taking the opening point. The Bears are coming off a three-match road streak to continue the away matches, most recently defeating No. 18 Arizona on their home court. It was the first time the Wildcats had lost at home since April of 2019. BU improved its away record to 5-0 with the 5-2 win.

No. 42 Adrian Boitan earned his second Big 12 Player of the Week title after going undefeated in the Arizona swing with a 2-0 singles record, both against ranked opponents, and winning one match on the doubles courts while the second went unfinished. He's now 12-0 in this season's dual matches, all on court one.

No. 41-ranked senior Sven Lah is one singles win away from the 100th of his career. He earned win No. 99 against Arizona's 36th-ranked Colton Smith on court three, 7-5, 0-6, 7-6(6) in Tucson. Lah is currently 10-3 on the spring season and 7-3 in the third slot.

No. 27 Matias Soto is 8-4 in dual-match singles play with a 5-4 record on court two and a perfect 3-0 in the first position. Finn Bass is 11-3 on the spring, Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi is 15-1, while Tadeas Paroulek is 6-1 and Marko Miladinovic is 5-4.

The 18th-ranked duo of Lah and Bass are 8-4 in dual play, all on court one, while 80th-ranked Grassi Mazzuchi and Soto are 12-3, all on court two. Boitan and Paroulek are 8-2 with a 7-2 record on court three.
