Bears aiming for ninth-straight win
SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling program is set to take on Saint Leo on Tuesday in Florida at the Bowman Center for the fourth meet of the Bears' season.
The Bears (3-0) hit the road for just their second away meet of the season, this time against SLU (0-2).
The Lions are in their first full schedule in 2022, hosting their first home events this season. They are coming off a home loss to No. 7 Converse at home, falling by 13 to the Valkyries. The meet with Baylor will be Saint Leo's second-ever home meet.
The Bears continue to see success, winning their eighth meet in a row dating back to last season. BU is coming off a win against No. 3 Oregon on Feb. 27, where the Bears had 17 scores of 9.5 or higher in the 19 heats of the meet.
Junior top and tumbler Emily Tobin earned her third-straight Athlete of the Week honor from the NCATA on March 2 after the victory over No. 3 Oregon at home, helping earn 11 of the 9.5 or above scores in the meet.
This will be the first outright meet between BU and the Lions, the last meet being a trio meet along with Presbyterian in March of 2020.
The meet is slated to start at 6 p.m. CT from Florida. Fans can follow along with the meet on BU's twitter account for updates. The meet will be available to watch on SunshineStateConference.tv.
