On Sunday's match…
"It was a really competitive match from start to finish. I felt like the doubles point could've gone either way, credit to Zsombor [Velcz] and Tadeas [Paroulek], who played a fantastic doubles match there. The other guys really had opportunities with a couple points on one and three, but that's doubles at this level. I thought we did a nice job of coming out and setting the tone for a few courts in singles. It took a little bit of time for a couple guys to sink their teeth into the match, but we all competed, and I thought the level was there. Credit to UVA, they're the No. 1 team in the nation for a reason. Coach [Andres] Pedroso is doing an excellent job with them. They brought back a tremendous amount of experience and depth and they just played well under pressure, which was a good thing to see. I think we'll take this experience with us and build on it going into one of the toughest Kickoff Weekend groups in nation next week. We're excited to get home, get back to work and prepare for the Arizona State match on Friday."

The Bears return home to host one of the ITA Kickoff Weekend campus sites, with matches against Arizona State on Friday, Jan. 27, and either San Diego or Florida State on Saturday, Jan. 28.
