BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Baylor cross country finalized their regular season schedule on Friday morning at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course for the Arturo Barrios Invitational. In one of the Bears' largest meets of the season, the women's squad was led by freshman
Rosanna Pugh to a 34
th-place finish while senior
Ryan Hodge led the men in 31
st place.
THE RUNDOWN
As has been the case in every meet this season, Hodge took the torch for BU and finished first in the men's 8,000 meters. His time of 24:11.3 put him 48
th in the field of 365 runners.
Following Hodge, junior
Devin Duran was just over a minute back in 225
th place after 25:38.8. With nearly another minute passed, sophomore
Caleb Ackman tabbed his spot in 261

The women's race featured a new freshman getting the team's first-place nod, as Pugh improved on her 6,000-meter collegiate-best time by just under two minutes, crossing in 21:48.8 for 169

Hayden Gold, no stranger to the front of the pack, took 202
nd in the race with a 22:05.4 and was followed by

Every Bear in the women's race improved her time from the Gans Creek Classic 6,000 meters, while Ackman, Duran, and Hodge posted a quicker mark in the men's 8,000 meters.
