
WBB Returns to AP Top 25 Poll Heading into 2023-24 Season

Bears are ranked No. 19 in the country to start the year
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's basketball heads into the 2023-24 season as the 19th-ranked team in the country, as announced by the Associated Press on Tuesday.
The appearance in the preseason AP poll marks the 19th-straight season the Bears have been ranked to start the year. The Bears have been ranked in 365 of the last 374 AP Top-25 weekly polls, including 10-straight weeks to start the 2022-23 campaign.
Baylor is one of just two Big 12 schools to be ranked in the preseason poll, with Texas joining the Bears in the top 25.
The No. 19 Bears host Hardin-Simmons in an exhibition on Friday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m., before opening the 2023-24 regular season at 7 p.m. against Southern on Nov. 6.
