Point guard is ranked in the top 75 in the 2024 class by espnW
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's basketball inked Ines Goryanova to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, head coach Nicki Collen announced.
Goryanova is a 5-foot-8 point guard out of Bulgaria and currently attends DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. Goryanova spent the last three years at Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut, where she ranked first on PSA's all-time scoring list.
She is ranked No. 49 on ProspectsNation and No. 71 on espnW. Her mom, Diana Naydenova-Goryanova, played professionally for 28 years, mainly in Bulgaria and Croatia. This summer, Goryanova was selected to participate in the 2023 adidas Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy.
"We are excited to welcome Ines and her family to our Baylor family," Collen said. "She is an exciting guard with deep shooting range and the ball skills to both attack to score as well as set up her teammates. As the daughter of a long-time European professional and coach, Ines has grown up in gyms around the world and has a flair, fearlessness and toughness that our fan base is going to love.
"Her international experience and time spent with great coaches at both Putnam Science Academy and DME Academy, as well as the New York Gauchos organization, has given her a maturity about her game. Ines is a passionate leader on the court and in the classroom and will be in the Baylor community as well."
