Bears look to extend overall win streak to 19
WACO, Texas – No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling returns to the Ferrell Center on Sunday with a 3 p.m. start time against No. 14 Presbyterian.
The Bears (2-0) host the Blue Hose (0-1) for the first time in program history, having only faced them once before in Clinton, S.C. BU took the win back in 2020, 275.940-253.825. PC's program is now in its third season.Baylor is on an 18-meet win streak dating back to the 2021 season. The Bears also have gone two weeks in a row earning a perfect 10.0 score in Pyramid Heat 1 thanks to the "Tower of Terror."
BU swept the NCATA's weekly awards for week two of competition, Kamryn Kitchens being named Athlete of the Week, Jordan Gruendler for Specialist and Gianna Cameron for Freshman. The heats that Kitchens competed in against Trine on the road all scored in the 9.0 range, Gruendler is the top for the "Tower of Terror," and Cameron continued to shine as a base and tumbler for the Bears.
T-shirts will be available for fans while supplies last commemorating the seven-straight NCATA titles.
The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ with Kurtis Quillin on play by play and alumna Ashley Echelberger providing color commentary. Live stats for the meet can be found here.
