TULSA, Okla. – Baylor men's tennis heads to Oklahoma for its second and third-straight road matches on Wednesday, hot off its 4-0 sweep of SMU last Thursday.
The Bears (10-11) play against Oral Roberts at noon, followed by No. 56 University of Tulsa at 6 p.m.
Oral Roberts (6-12) and BU are locked at 3-3 all-time against each other, with Baylor taking 4-0 sweeps in the last three matches (2007, 2008 and 2010).
Facing Tulsa, which most recently lost to No. 44 OU, 4-0, the Bears have a firm 12-3 hold on the all-time series. The 56th-ranked Hurricane squad boasts one top-125 singles player in Kody Pearson at No. 28.
Finn Bass leads the Bears in the ITA computerized rankings at No. 49, with Tadeas Paroulek just behind in 98th. In doubles, Bass and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi are back at No. 10, while Paroulek and Zsombor Velcz are 24th.
Velcz and Grassi Mazzuchi are in double figures for wins in singles play, while Paroulek and Velcz lead the team at 14-3, with a 7-2 record at Court One.
