
VB's Stowers Earns Offensive, Rookie of the Week from Big 12

Freshman had 77 kills over four matches
IRVING, Texas – Baylor volleyball outside hitter Kyndal Stowers has notched both Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week from the Big 12 Conference, the league announced on Tuesday.
The Denton, Texas, native had 77 kills on the week across four matches with a .389 hitting percentage. She led the league in kills and was second in kills per set (5.13) and points per set (5.43). She had three matches on the week with 10 or more kills.
Stowers led the team in kills, attempts and points for all four matches. She notched a season-high 29 kills against SMU and her 20 kills in the 3-1 victory against Bowling Green helped Ryan McGuyre become the winningest head coach in Baylor volleyball history.
Stowers' performances helped put BU at the top of the conference for the week in kills, kills per set, and second in hitting percentage. Overall, Stowers is currently second in kills per set (4.31) and third in points per set (4.92) for the Big 12.
She is the first Bear to earn both awards on the same day since Yossiana Pressley in 2017 and the first to do it for the Big 12 since 2021.
