The Bears will host seven games at the Ferrell Center this fall
WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's basketball team announced their slate of non-conference games on Thursday, highlighted by seven home contests.
The Bears kick-off the 2023-24 season with a six-game homestand beginning with an exhibition against Hardin-Simmons on Friday, Nov. 3. The regular season is set to commence on Nov. 6 with a matchup against Southern.
Baylor will have a week to prep for future Big 12 opponent Utah (Nov. 14), who finished as the Pac-12 Co-Champions and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2023, in a Preseason WNIT outing before finishing out the string of home games with Harvard (Nov. 19), NcNeese (Nov. 24) and Alcorn State (Nov. 26).
The Bears close out a busy November with their first road contest in Dallas at SMU on Nov. 30, before returning home to host Oregon (Dec. 3) and Delaware State (Dec. 14). The Ducks have advanced to the postseason every year since 2015-16, with five trips to the NCAA Tournament in the seven-year span.
The Bears' outing with Delaware State will be a significant moment in history, as the Baylor women's basketball program is scheduled to close out its 34-year tenure at the Ferrell Center before moving to the newly constructed Paul & Alejandra Foster Pavilion for the start of Big 12 play in early January.
The Bears wrap up their non-conference schedule on the road with a trio of neutral-site matchups. Baylor will travel to face Miami in the Hall of Fame Series at the AT&T Center in San Antonio on Dec. 16, before heading to West Palm Beach, Florida, for the West Palm Beach Classic. The Bears will play two contests with opponents to be named at a later date.
In preparation for the Foster Pavilion seat selection process, women's basketball season tickets can only be purchased over the phone. Fans interested in new season tickets can call the Baylor Athletics Ticket Office at 254.710.1000 or fill out this form.
Game times, TV designations and game promotions will be announced at a later date.
